The Butterfly house offers both Thai Yoga Massage and Ayurvedic massage.
Ayurveda is a holistc healing system that originates from the Indian sub continent. It utilizes a variety of methods to balance, relax and rejuvinate.
The primary purpose of Ayurvedic massage is to help break down and remove the toxins within the body. The toxins (Ama) are understood to be left over putrefied-food stuff that has taken a grease-like form. The longer the Ama is retained in the bodies the more stubborn and harder they are to remove.
Ayurvedic massage, with the correct diet and yoga therapy help towards a better feeling of well being.
Traditional Thai Yoga massage is a therapeutic practice with its origins in Yoga, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
It consists on a rhythmic, flowing massage, which includes a series of stretches and yoga postures associated with acupressure techniques, applied with the palms, thumbs, elbows, forearms, knees and feet, crossing points and energy lines of the body. The combination of these techniques help to unlock physical and energetic blockages, relieving pain and tensions, rebalancing posture and body alignment, restoring the natural flow of vital and self-healing energy .
